We do not hold individual soldiers documents here : Those that have survived are held at The National Archives , Kew, and they have an online searchable database.

We hold copies of Battalion Dairies for both World Wars, and Regimental Enlistment Books for the period 1919-1939. Please note that the details contained in these books vary, and the later the date, the less information is recorded. We would normally require SURNAME, Initials and /or ARMY NUMBER. In some cases the former Regimental Number is shown (these were replaced c.1921 with The ARMY NUMBER which in most cases begins with 644.

CHARGES: We charge a £10 or part of /per hour search fee (Non Refundable) which includes a copy of material relating to your enquiry to a maximum of 10 pages.

Work will start in 2010

The Trustees of the Museum have employed a professional to reorganize the London Fusilier Museum in the Tower. It will be brought up to date and should then compare more than favourably with the very best of Army museums.

Work will start next year. At present we are in the planning stage. It is hoped that we will open the Museum early in 2011. The present Museum is, of course, still open.

Fundraising started in May with a presentation and lunch in the Tower for former Royal Fusilier National Service Officers who have made most generous donations. The total cost is expected to be some £600,000. It is possible that we will get £300,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund. Details for those who wish to subscribe will be published here on the website later this year.
