Update of the London Fusilier Museum in the Tower

The Trustees of the Museum have employed a professional to reorganize the London Fusilier Museum in the Tower. It will be brought up to date and should then compare more than favourably with the very best of Army museums.

Work will start this year. At present we are in the planning stage. It is hoped that we will open the Museum early in 2011. The present Museum is, of course, still open.

Fundraising started in May 2009 with a presentation and lunch in the Tower for former Royal Fusilier National Service Officers who have made most generous donations. The total cost is expected to be some £800,000. We have been given £300,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
